Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross) "Helferinnen" Field Cap

in January 1938 the DRK introduced a new visored field cap, designated, Bergrettendienst Mütze, (Mountain Rescue Service Cap), with the design based on the Mountain caps worn by Austrian Mountain troops in WWI.

The eagles oval base is machine zig zag stitched to the cap.

The brown colored leather knot is constructed of interwoven leather strands. These knots were worn with the black triangular scarf. The knot is not visible maker marked or dated.
