An interesting aluminium prisoner-of-war identification disc from Stalag V B, located in Villingen, Germany.
Stalag V B operated from 1940 to 1945 and held prisoners of war of various nationalities.
The disc is clearly stamped “VB Villingen”, together with prisoner registration number 4630 on both halves.
Complete and unbroken, showing age-related surface oxidation and wear, while the markings remain clearly legible. The reverse is unmarked.
