Erkennungsmarke ( EKM ) “NSKK 2 BRIG L”

An interesting aluminium Erkennungsmarke from NSKK Brigade 2 der Luftwaffe, clearly stamped “NSKK 2 BRIG L” with the personal identification number 5734 on both halves.

NSKK Brigade 2 der Luftwaffe was established in Belgium in May 1941 and consisted of three regiments (4, 5 and 6). The brigade included Belgian volunteers, both Flemish and Walloon, who served in transport and supply duties for the Luftwaffe.

The Erkennungsmarke remains complete and unbroken, showing clear signs of age, surface oxidation and discoloration. The markings are still clearly legible.

An interesting identification disc from a less commonly encountered Luftwaffe-related NSKK formation.
