The Hindenburg light consists of greased cardboard, filled with wax and a wide wick that you can pull out a bit. When burning, the metal in the wax heats up, the wax softens due to the heat and burns with a bright flame. It was the light source for the German soldiers in World War II, also as an accessory in the unit lantern box. Original and unused.
