Wehrmacht ( Heer ) Printed 'Aserbaidschan' Volunteer Sleeve Shield

Original World War II sleeve shield for the Aserbaidschan Legion (Azerbaijan Legion), part of the German Wehrmacht’s Eastern volunteer formations (Ostlegionen). This example is the printed cotton version with the national colors blue, red, and green on a red backing, featuring the inscription “ASERBAIDSCHAN” at the top.

These shields were worn on the right upper sleeve by Azerbaijani volunteers serving under German command between 1942 and 1945. The printed type, made on lightweight red cotton, represents an authentic wartime variant that differs from the better-known BeVo-woven examples.
