DAF ( "Deutsche Arbeitsfront" ) Honor Plaque

produced as an award by the "Deutsche Arbeitsfront" ("German Labor Front"), or DAF. The plaque depicts a laborer and a farmer flaking a scholar or legislator, over a swastika within a geared wheel, with Adolf Hitler's quote "Ehret die Arbeit und achtet den Arbeiter" ("Honor the Work and Respect the Worker") at bottom. The designer's name "Muller -Erfurt" appear at the bottom right of the pedestal upon which the figures stand, while the bottom right corner bears the maker's mark "Paulmann & Crone - Ludenscheid", with "Ges. Gesch." at bottom left.
