Luftwaffe Eagle Wooden Wall Plaque – Possibly Postwar Commemorative Piece
Category:
€ 150,00
An unusual and interesting Luftwaffe wall plaque featuring a large, gold-coloured cast metal eagle mounted on a round black wooden backing with a decorative scalloped edge.
The non-magnetic metal eagle is secured by two screws and retains its attractive gold-coloured finish. The reverse is fitted with a metal wall hanger.
In our opinion, this plaque may have been produced after the war as a commemorative piece, possibly for a former Luftwaffe serviceman.
Despite extensive research, we have been unable to find another identical example, particularly with this distinctive eagle design.
A very interesting and unusual decorative piece in very good condition.
Diameter: 29.5 cm.
