A very nice Luftwaffe pilot's inflatable life vest, type 10-30 B-2, manufactured by Drägerwerk Lübeck and dated 9 May 1941.
The vest is made of yellowish-tan cotton fabric and retains its original inflation system, oral inflation tube, securing straps and metal fittings. The manufacturer's label is perfectly preserved and clearly marked with the type designation, Fl. 30 154-1, serial number 31193 and production date.
The Schwimmweste remains in very good overall condition, showing only normal signs of age and use. The mouthpiece is damaged, and a connecting piece for the gas cylinder is missing. Otherwise, the vest is very nicely preserved, with its original straps and fittings still present.
Listed for a very fair price!
A very attractive, early dated example of Luftwaffe flight equipment.
