Wehrmacht Heer M42 Obergefreiter Panzergrenadier Tunic – Near Mint

Outstanding Wehrmacht Heer M42 field tunic for an Obergefreiter serving as a Funker (radio operator) in a Panzergrenadier unit.
This beautiful field-grey wool tunic remains in exceptional, near-mint condition, retaining its fresh original colours and virtually unworn appearance.
The tunic retains all its original factory-applied insignia, including the BeVo woven breast eagle, collar tabs, Obergefreiter rank chevron and the distinctive bright green Blitz signal operator proficiency badge. The collar tabs feature the lemon-green Waffenfarbe associated with Panzergrenadier units.
An Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon is fitted through the front buttonhole, while a two-place ribbon bar for the Eastern Front Medal and Sudetenland Annexation Medal is displayed above the breast pocket. Original award loops are also present.
The interior is equally beautiful, retaining its original lining, internal equipment support straps and metal belt-support hooks and removable internal Collar liner or Kragenbinde
Clearly visible are the original size markings, manufacturer's stamp and H42 depot acceptance marking.
The tunic shows only minimal signs of age and wear. The wool is exceptionally well preserved, including the back and sleeves.
A superb and increasingly difficult-to-find M42 Panzergrenadier Feldbluse, especially desirable with its original insignia and attractive Funker specialist badge.
