Wehrmacht MP40 Magazine Pouch – 1943
Category:
€ 750,00
A very nice and honest field-used Wehrmacht MP38/40 triple magazine pouch, manufactured in 1943.
The pouch is constructed from olive-green canvas with black leather reinforcements and features three individual compartments for MP38/40 magazines. All three original leather closing straps and metal fastening studs are still present.
The reverse retains both diagonal leather belt loops and the side attachment strap with its metal D-ring.
One of the leather belt loops is clearly maker-marked "hcy 43", identifying the manufacturer as Max Ficker & Sohn, Remse/Mulde, with the production year 1943. In addition, one of the leather belt loops bears a Waffenamt (WaA) military acceptance stamp, although the exact number is difficult to decipher.
The pouch remains in good, genuinely field-used condition, showing typical wartime wear, fading and age-related discoloration. The leather remains in good condition with normal signs of use. Some fraying and wear are visible along the lower edges, particularly on the left magazine compartment, as clearly shown in the photographs.
A very attractive and authentic-looking wartime example with desirable maker and Waffenamt markings. Unlike the many unissued examples encountered today, this pouch shows genuine signs of extensive field use, giving it plenty of character.
A desirable and increasingly difficult-to-find piece of Wehrmacht combat equipment, especially in this honest, field-used condition!
