Rare Großdeutschland Artillery NCO Shoulder Board
Category:
A rare single Wehrmacht Großdeutschland Artillery NCO shoulder board, featuring a beautifully hand-embroidered red "GD" cypher on a dark green wool background.
The shoulder board features the distinctive red Artillery Waffenfarbe and silver NCO tresse, including the additional silver tresse across the lower section. The embroidered GD monogram remains beautifully preserved, retaining its attractive bright red colour.
A particularly desirable example with finely detailed construction and an attractive, genuine worn appearance.
The shoulder board remains in very nice condition, showing only minor moth damage to the reverse folding section. This is practically invisible when the shoulder board is folded into its normal position. The front displays beautifully, with the embroidered cypher and silver tresse well preserved.
Length when folded: approximately 11.5–12 cm.
A scarce and highly collectible Großdeutschland Artillery shoulder board, especially desirable with its embroidered GD cypher.
A very nice addition to any Großdeutschland or Wehrmacht insignia collection!
