A very nice and scarce early-production Wehrmacht Heer EM/NCO aluminum belt buckle, complete with its original brown leather tab (Lederzunge), dated 1936.
The buckle was manufactured by Richard Sieper & Söhne of Lüdenscheid, with the manufacturer's markings present on both the aluminum buckle and the leather tab. The marking on the buckle itself is somewhat faint but still recognizable.
Dating from 1936, the year in which this pattern of Heer buckle was introduced, this is a particularly desirable early example.
The aluminum buckle retains excellent details, with a beautifully preserved Gott mit uns design and an attractive, naturally aged finish. The reverse shows the typical early construction, with its original fastening system intact.
The matching maker-marked leather tab is also in very nice condition, retaining its clearly visible 1936 date, original stitching and attractive brown leather.
The entire piece shows honest signs of age and use, giving it a wonderful, untouched appearance.
