Early Brown Tricot Kragenunterhemd –SA/NSDAP
Category:
€ 450,00
An interesting and rather unusual early brown long-sleeved shirt, possibly privately purchased for wear beneath an SA or NSDAP uniform.
Manufactured from fine, soft and elastic brown tricot fabric, quite different from the more commonly encountered woven cotton SA service shirts.
The shirt features a traditional pointed collar, a short buttoned front opening with attractive mother-of-pearl-style buttons, long sleeves with buttoned cuffs and an exceptionally long body, measuring approximately 108 cm from the back of the collar to the bottom hem.
The extra-long construction would have allowed the shirt to remain securely tucked into the trousers, making it particularly suitable for wear beneath a uniform.
The inside of the collar bears a stamped 41, most likely indicating the collar size, while an additional small 4 is stamped near the bottom of the front opening. No manufacturer's or RZM label is present.
The shirt remains in attractive, lightly worn condition, showing some age-related wear and minor discoloration consistent with its age.
An unusual early-style garment with interesting construction details. Although its brown colour and design suggest possible SA or NSDAP use, the precise organisational attribution cannot be confirmed.
A particularly interesting example of an early long-bodied tricot shirt, seldom encountered in this distinctive construction.
