Wehrmacht Truppenfahne Fahnenstockring – Beobachtungs-Abteilung 7
Category:
€ 900,00
A very rare and interesting Wehrmacht regimental flagpole ring (Fahnenstockring), originating from the Beobachtungs-Abteilung 7 (Observation Battalion 7).
The silver-coloured metal ring features a beautifully engraved unit designation, “Beob. Abt. 7”, executed in traditional Gothic lettering with finely detailed decoration.
Beobachtungs-Abteilung 7 was a specialised German Army artillery observation unit responsible for locating enemy artillery positions through sound ranging, flash spotting and other observation techniques. The unit was established during the pre-war period and later participated in the Second World War.
The ring measures approximately 4.8 cm in height and 4.2 cm in diameter. The interior still retains its metal attachment strip with fixing holes, an interesting construction detail.
The piece remains in untouched, naturally aged condition, showing considerable patina, oxidation and wear to the original silver-coloured finish. The engraved lettering remains clearly visible.
A particularly scarce and historically interesting piece of Wehrmacht flag equipment, especially desirable because of its specific unit designation.
A rare opportunity to acquire an unusual surviving component of a Wehrmacht unit flagpole.
