A nice early Wehrmacht Heer visor cap eagle (Schirmmützenadler), intended for wear on the peaked visor cap.
The eagle is manufactured from lightweight aluminum and features the characteristic outstretched wings above a wreathed swastika. It measures approximately 60 mm from wingtip to wingtip.
The reverse retains both of its original long brass attachment prongs, which remain firmly attached. This two-prong construction is encountered on period-produced variants of the Heer visor cap eagle. No visible maker marking is present.
The eagle remains in good used condition, showing only normal age and wear while retaining crisp detail throughout.
