A very nice period German Forestry official’s belt, manufactured from sturdy dark green leather and completely backed with characteristic green felt.
The belt is fitted with a large rectangular silver-coloured double-prong buckle, featuring a finely textured surface. The double-prong construction corresponds with the two rows of adjustment holes in the belt. It also retains its original movable leather keeper.
The belt has an overall length of approximately 104 cm.
The belt remains in very good used condition, showing only moderate age and wear. The dark green leather has retained its attractive colour, while the green felt backing is also remarkably well preserved. The metal buckle shows a pleasing, even age patina.
A very attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find piece of period German Forestry uniform equipment, particularly nice with the characteristic green leather exterior and green felt backing.
