HJ Leistungsabzeichen in Silver – “B-Stück” – RZM M1/101

A nice example of the Hitler Youth (HJ) Leistungsabzeichen, displaying the characteristic openwork design with a central swastika surrounded by the stylized inscription “Für Leistungen in der HJ”.
The reverse is clearly marked with the RZM logo and M1/101, identifying the manufacturer as Gustav Brehmer of Markneukirchen, a well-known producer of HJ insignia.

Of particular interest is the prominent “B” marking on the reverse. Unlike the normally awarded examples, which were individually numbered, these so-called “B-Stücke” or “Zweitstücke” were produced without an individual award number and are considerably less commonly encountered than the standard numbered examples.
The badge shows an attractive, naturally aged appearance with remnants of its original silvered finish and a pleasing untouched patina.

Please note: the pin assembly on the reverse is damaged and no longer functional. For this reason, the badge is offered as a display piece only. Nevertheless, the damage is confined to the reverse and the badge still displays very nicely from the front. The important RZM M1/101 and B markings remain clearly visible.

An interesting and less commonly encountered variation of the HJ Leistungsabzeichen, especially desirable due to its distinctive B-Stück configuration and Gustav Brehmer manufacture.
