Very nice Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939, maker marked “100” on the suspension ring for Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida.
The cross features the typical three-piece construction with a magnetic iron core and silvered frame. The black core remains in excellent condition with nearly all of its original finish present. Particularly attractive is the beading, which retains a remarkable amount of its characteristic white frosted finish.
The frame shows only minor age and wear, while the suspension ring has developed an attractive natural patina. The maker marking “100” remains clearly visible.
Complete with a nice length of ribbon, also in very good condition.
