Luftschutz Gladiator Helmet – Excellent - Mint Condition

Very nice Luftschutz “Gladiator” helmet in exceptionally well-preserved condition.
The helmet retains virtually all of its original dark blue/black factory finish and features the large Luftschutz winged decal to the front. The decal is particularly well preserved, retaining strong detail and colour with only minimal age-related wear.
The interior is equally impressive and remains complete with its original brown leather liner, drawstring and black leather chinstrap. The leather remains in very nice condition.
The inside of the rear skirt is clearly stamped “KENNNUMMER RL 2-39/10”, a manufacturer code attributed to Rafflenbeul & Sohn, Press- und Stanzwerk, Hückeswagen (Rheinland). It also retains the original Luftschutz approval marking “Vertrieb genehmigt gemäß §8 Luftschutzgesetz” and is size marked 58.
An old handwritten name of the former owner is still present underneath the liner.
