DRL Sports Badge in Bronze – Ernst Müller, Pforzheim
Category:
€ 60,00
Nice example of the DRL Sports Badge in Bronze, manufactured by Ernst Müller of Pforzheim.
The Deutsches Reichsabzeichen für Leibesübungen (DRL) was an award established on May 20, 1933 by the National Socialist National Union for Physical Education (NSRL). It was awarded to members of the NSRL and to individuals and organizations who had made a contribution to the field of physical education and sports. The DRA was intended to honor and encourage achievement in sports, and was seen as one of the most important sporting awards in Nazi Germany.
The badge retains an attractive bronze finish with a naturally developed dark patina, particularly in the recessed areas, giving it a very appealing appearance.
The reverse is maker marked “ERNST MÜLLER PFORZHEIM” and additionally stamped “D.R.G.M. 35269”. Complete with its original pin and catch, both functioning correctly.
A nice and less commonly encountered maker-marked example in good used condition.
