Very nice matching K98 bayonet, manufactured in 1941 by Alexander Coppel GmbH, Solingen, maker coded “fnj”.
The bayonet and scabbard are matching, both numbered 1541 w. The blade retains a very attractive amount of its original dark blued finish and remains in very nice condition, showing only light traces of use.
Fitted with dark Bakelite grip plates and complete with clearly visible military acceptance markings. The steel scabbard also retains much of its original finish and shows only normal age and storage wear.
A particularly attractive matching 1941-dated K98 bayonet with strong original finish and matching-numbered scabbard.
