Very nice matching K98 bayonet manufactured by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen in 1941.
The bayonet and scabbard are both marked “41 cof” and carry the matching serial number “2812 f”. The blade retains a very attractive amount of its original dark blued finish and shows only moderate traces of use. Complete with its original dark Bakelite grip plates and correctly marked fittings.
The matching steel scabbard shows honest age and service wear with areas of finish loss and patina, giving the complete set a pleasing untouched appearance.
A desirable matching example with a particularly nice blade, showing matching manufacturer, year and serial-number markings on both bayonet and scabbard.
