Original cast aluminum horse mane comb, manufactured by GSB. This robust grooming comb was used for the care and detangling of a horse's mane and tail. The comb features the maker's GSB trademark and is equipped with a suspension hole for hanging in the stable.
Interestingly, this exact type of comb is illustrated in a period German manual (Bild 63), where it is described as a "Mähnenkamm" (mane comb): "Der Mähnenkamm ist aus Aluminium gefertigt" ("The mane comb is made of aluminum").
