An original and increasingly scarce wartime Waffen-SS photobook titled Waffen-SS im Westen, published in 1941 by Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachf., München. The book contains an extensive collection of original period photographs documenting Waffen-SS units during the Western Campaign of 1940 and was compiled by SS war correspondent Friedrich Zschäckel (SS-PK).
The photobook is filled with high-quality black and white images depicting soldiers, camouflage uniforms, equipment, armoured vehicles, artillery and field operations, making it a desirable reference work for collectors and researchers alike.
The book measures approximately 27 × 19.5 cm.
The original dust jacket is still present but shows heavy age wear. It appears to have been professionally backed/restored in the past to stabilize the fragile paper, preserving the original jacket while preventing further deterioration. The book itself remains in very good condition with clean pages and a solid binding.
