EU Deko - British Sten Mk II(S) Suppressed Submachine Gun (Rare)

A rare and highly desirable British Sten Mk II(S) suppressed submachine gun, complete with its original integral suppressor, original canvas suppressor cover, detachable wire buttstock, magazine and canvas sling. The gun is accompanied by a valid EU Deactivation Certificate, making it an excellent collector's piece.
The Sten Mk II(S) was developed from 1943 onwards as a specialized suppressed variant of the standard Mk II. Featuring a ported barrel enclosed within an integral suppressor, it reduced the velocity of standard 9mm ammunition to subsonic speed, significantly decreasing the report. This exceptional variant was produced in limited numbers for use by the Special Operations Executive (SOE), British Commandos, the SAS, and other special operations units conducting clandestine missions behind enemy lines. Today, the Mk II(S) ranks among the rarest and most sought-after Sten variants.
This example is fitted with the correct integral suppressor, complete with its original wartime canvas suppressor cover, and retains the detachable wire buttstock, original magazine and canvas sling. The magazine housing is marked J.L. & Co. Ltd. (J. Lyons & Co. Ltd.), one of the wartime manufacturers involved in the production of Sten components. British inspection and Broad Arrow acceptance marks are present throughout the gun.
The bolt can still be operated, allowing the internal mechanism to be demonstrated, while the detachable wire buttstock remains fully removable, adding to its display and collector appeal.
The gun is in very good original condition, retaining an attractive wartime finish with honest age-related wear and a pleasing natural patina. An outstanding and increasingly difficult-to-find example of one of the most iconic suppressed Allied firearms of the Second World War, complete with its EU Deactivation Certificate and ready for an advanced WWII collection.
