Pair of German Women's High Lace-Up Boots
Category:
€ 150,00
A very attractive pair of German women's high lace-up leather boots dating from the 1930s-1940s period. Constructed from quality brown leather and fitted with original hobnailed soles and heel irons.
The boots retain their period factory markings, including a probable Salamander manufacturer marking. With a sole length of approximately 26.5 cm, they are sized for a smaller female wearer.
This style of footwear was commonly worn by women during the pre-war and wartime years and could also have been used within youth organizations such as the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM), although no specific organizational markings are present.
The boots show honest wear and a beautiful age patina throughout. The leather remains supple overall, with some age-related crazing and wear visible around the upper edges of the shafts. The original hobnailed soles are still present and give the pair an attractive period appearance.
A fine and increasingly hard-to-find pair of period German women's boots, ideal for display alongside BDM, youth organization, or general wartime collections.
