K98 rifle bayonet with wooden grips in uncleaned but very good condition
Matching serial numbers 4879 I.
Blade remains in good condition.
Maker marked by S.178G which is the code for the firm of Gebr. Heller, and G stands for 1935.
The attached leather frog/hanger is original to the period and remains present, though it shows expected aging and some dryness consistent with wartime leather
A very nice bayonet by a rarely seen maker.
