“Complete BDM ( Bund Deutscher Mädel) winter / ski set consisting of the matching wool anorak, ski trousers and ski cap.
Constructed from the typical dark blue wool material used for BDM winter sports clothing during the period.
The anorak features the classic lace-up neck closure, two front pockets and waist adjustment.
The trousers retain their original tapered ski-cut with period PRYM zipper.
The sleeve of the jacket displays a period-style armband associated with youth organizations of the era. The set is reportedly attributed to use by a member of the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) during outdoor or winter activities. As was common, members often wore privately purchased or civilian clothing for sports such as skiing, rather than standard-issued uniforms.
The ski cap still has its original RZM label and HJ/BDM diamond ( RZM M1/100 ) insignia attached.
A very scarce and attractive matching set that is rarely encountered complete today.
Overall in very good condition with only minor age and storage wear visible.
