We have here a 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Officer’s Dagger featuring the highly desirable orange “pumpkin” grip. The dagger is complete with its matching scabbard and retains a very attractive overall appearance.
The blade is unmarked (no maker), which is not uncommon, as not all Luftwaffe daggers were manufacturer marked. The blade remains in very good condition with only minor signs of age and use.
The scabbard shows the typical age-related coloring and patina often seen on these daggers, but is free from dents or major damage. The fittings display nice natural wear and age throughout.
Overall, this is a very good example of a desirable Luftwaffe dagger with beautiful grip color and excellent display appeal.
