State Criminal Police (Staatliche Kriminalpolizei) KRIPO ID Disc. These quality discs came out in 1937 on order of Himmler and were carried by state criminal police (Kripo) while on duty

This type of hanger is well documented for Kripo identification discs and is associated with the Sicherheitspolizei (SiPo) system as a whole. It is therefore reasonable to assume that similar assemblies may also have been used within related branches, such as the Gestapo

This example shows clear signs of period use and features an old, service-era repair to the leather pull tab, reinforced with a metal clamp.
The repair is well-aged, with matching patina and wear and is entirely consistent with field or duty use rather than any modern intervention. Such honest wear only adds to the authenticity and character of the piece.
