U.S. WWII Army M-1943 Field Jacket – 101st Airborne Attributed

€ 350,00
An original World War II U.S. Army M-1943 field jacket, constructed in OD cotton sateen and featuring all the classic characteristics of this iconic late-war combat garment. The jacket retains its original four-pocket configuration, drawstring waist, and button-front closure.
The interior still shows its original period label, albeit heavily faded, but clearly identifiable as “Jacket, Field, M-1943” with remnants of the original contract information. This confirms authentic wartime production.
Of particular interest is the presence of a 101st Airborne Division (“Screaming Eagle”) shoulder patch. The patch itself is an original WWII example, exhibiting period-correct construction and wear. It has been hand-applied to the jacket at some point, likely post-issue or later, as evidenced by the stitching. Nevertheless, it remains a desirable airborne addition.
The jacket is in good, worn condition, showing honest service use with expected age, light wear, and minor imperfections consistent with wartime garments.
