A rare and matching pair of original Hitler Youth Marine (Marine-HJ) signal or training flags
Both flags are clearly stamped with a unit marking reading:

“Marine Gefolgschaft III / 109 – Durlach ( Gebiet Nordse)

This identifies the flags as belonging to the 3rd section (III) of Marine Gefolgschaft 109, part of the Hitler Youth structure, with a location marking to Durlach and an organizational reference to the Nordsee (North Sea) region.

The Marine-HJ was a specialized branch of the Hitler Youth focused on naval training and preparation for future service in the Kriegsmarine. Training included signaling, seamanship, and basic navigation, and items such as these flags were used for practical instruction and communication exercises.

Both flags show honest period wear, staining, and signs of use. The white central panels are intact but show age-related discoloration. The original wooden staffs are present.
