U.S. WWII Army Short Overcoat (Mackinaw Type) – Dated 1942
Category:
€ 200,00
An original World War II U.S. Army Short Overcoat, often referred to as a Mackinaw-style coat or “Jeep Coat.” This is a genuine wartime example, clearly dated August 11, 1942 on the interior Quartermaster label and issued through the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot.
The coat is constructed from heavy olive drab wool and features a classic double-breasted front, large shawl collar, and its original waist belt. It represents the standard issue cold-weather overcoat used by U.S. Army personnel during WWII, particularly valued for its practicality in field and vehicle use.
Good overall condition.
The exterior wool remains strong with light signs of wear. The lining shows age-related wear and staining, typical for a garment of this period.
