This is a super RARE genuine MP 38 dated 1940
The MP38 was only produced fewer than two years 1938 to early 1940 before it was determined that the machined parts were to labor intensive and expensive to produce so stamped parts were made and the model number was changed to the MP40.
This MP 38 with correct MP38 features of aluminum pistol grip frame and the correct rear receiver housing
Early war code 122 is for C.G. Haenel, Waffen- u. Fahrradfabrik, Suhl: late war code was fxo".
