Original Luftwaffe Greatcoat Model M40
light worn,almost mint condition!
Offered here is an original Luftwaffe greatcoat (Übermantel) Model 1940, issued to enlisted men and NCOs. This double-breasted overcoat is made of typical Luftwaffe field-grey/blue wool with a full-length cut, large fold-back cuffs, and partial cotton lining.
Markings inside as well as a stamp “D.E.” (Deutsches Erzeugnis), indicating German-made quality fabric used in the production of the garment.
This is a textbook example of the Luftwaffe M40 greatcoat, showing the correct period construction details and materials. A very desirable and original piece of wartime Luftwaffe field equipment.
