This is an original visor cap for a senior official of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF), the Nazi-era German Labour Front. The cap is constructed of dark navy-blue wool with a high-quality black velvet centerband featuring intricate oak leaf embroidery. It is adorned with a gilt national eagle insignia above the distinctive DAF cogwheel with swastika, flanked by gold oak leaves.
The cap features a gold chin cord secured by gilt buttons, indicating officer rank. The interior bears an original RZM tag (Reichszeugmeisterei), confirming NSDAP regulation production, with the manufacturer code and serial number still clearly visible.
