British WWII NO 4 MK1 Cruciform Spike Bayonet

Scarce original British No 4 Mk1 cruciform spike bayonet and correct scabbard, in excellent condition. Bayonet is stamped 'No 4 MK1' along with 'SM' for the Singer Manufacturing Company.

The cruciform bayonet was introduced in November 1939 for the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk1 Rifle and was only produced from late 1941 and into the early months of 1942.

This is an extremely rare pin-on type luminous personnel marker that was used by paratroopers and other divisions during World War II for nighttime operations
