The provision/ration bags were a carry over from the Weimar, Reichswehr era, and were modified by replacing the Reichswehr style national eagle with the new Third Reich style national eagle

A stunning Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse for Fallschirmjäger/Flieger in the rank of gefreiter.

The tunic is in nice light worn condition and has no gefreiter tab applied, which makes me believe that he was promoted in the field.

It is nicely marked with a factory code and 'LBA 41' with all its insignia and buttons originally sewn to the jacket.
