M35 Luftwaffe double decal ‘Normandy’ camouflage helmet SE64
Very nice M35 steel helmet that came out of the factory as a double decal example in glossy blue paint. Got camouflaged during the war, covering both decals, but there shadow is still visible under the paint.
The camouflage pattern is a classic ‘Normandy’ three tone spectrum period applied by airbrush using vehicle paint. The colors remain bright and visible and paint shows normal combat damages.
The inside remains perfect and untouched having a reinforced aluminum liner dated 1938. The leather is a bit stiff but remains strong. The genuine draw string and chin strap are still present. The strap is maker marked and dated 1938.( hard to read )
The split pins remain straight and untouched.
Has a ID-number in the rear skirt ‘1006’ painted in yellow. Maker and size marked shell: SE64, lot number 3936 (I presume).
Beautiful and hard to find textbook three tone camouflage helmet!
