2x Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Officer's Overseas Cap

A very rare matching pair of Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery (Küstenartillerie) officer side caps, both private-purchase examples in an exceptionally large size (59–60). Side caps of this branch are already difficult to obtain, but finding two pieces from the same owner, preserved together since the period, is truly exceptional.

Both caps are made of the characteristic green-grey wool cloth used by the Küstenartillerie, and feature the correct gold officer piping. Each cap is fitted with a different style of officer insignia — one with a hand-embroidered bullion officer eagle and cocarde, the other with a machine-woven officer eagle and cocarde. It is very likely that the original officer acquired both variants at the same time and simply never made a final choice, resulting in both styles being worn or kept in parallel.

The interiors are lined in quality rayon and show honest period wear but no damage. The wool bodies remain clean, fully intact, and without repairs.

This is an extremely hard-to-find pair, especially in such a large size and directly from the same wearer. Perfect for advanced Kriegsmarine or coastal artillery collections.
