Early 'Himmler style' Helmet with screened vents

Civic style helmets were used throughout the Reich by various institutions for a variety of non combat duties.
These helmets were predominantly used by :

Polizei
Feuerschutz
Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) , later Luftschutz
Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK)
Factory guards and safety personnel

The helmet retains the original military-style green paint on the interior, while the exterior was factory-repainted in glossy black
It features the typical air vents with fine mesh screens found on early civil models, a complete leather liner, and chinstrap.
The liner says size 56 but it measures 58
The large yellow painted number “33” inside identifies it as an assigned piece within a Luftschutz or industrial protection unit.

A solid and example of a pre-war German civil defense helmet, showing honest wear and untouched patina.
