Cased 40 Years Faithful Service Medal ( Deschler )

Cased Forty Years Faithful Service Medal (Treudienst Ehrenzeichen 1. Stufe, 40 Jahre). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted the Faithful Service Decoration, in three classes. This was in recognition of long serving civil servants, and public works personnel. The medal is complete with its original confectioned blue ribbon, the stitching of the ribbon came loose, see photos. The medal is in good condition, showing stunning details. The medal comes in its original red case of issue.

The box is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Deschler & Sohn' from München.
