US WWII Original M1 Experimental Carbine Short Hip Holster Case

This is an very good condition unissued example of the extremely rare experimental U.S. WWII M1 Carbine short hip holster.
These holsters were designed for the full-length M1 carbine, not the folding stock M1A1 that fits in the paratrooper or parachutist's canvas holster.

This example is unissued and maker marked and dated LUB. PROD. CO. / 1943, which is the same marking found on most original examples
