Wehrmacht 'Affe' Backpack M1939 with fur flap (Tornister 39).
The cowhide was to protect against rain. The pack was worn hooked onto the belt supporting straps (Y-straps) which were introduced with the M1939 pack
one strap is broken ( see pics )
