Struwwelhitler: A Nazi Story Book
On the cover, the book is presented as the work of 'Doktor Schrecklichkeit' meaning ‘Doctor Hideousness’ in German. In fact, it was created by Robert and Philip Spence to support the British war effort. Struwwelhitler raised money to buy the troops radios, games and ‘woollen comforts’, as well as supplies for air-raid victims. It was published in 1941 by the British newspaper, the Daily Sketch.
