Luftwaffe M40 Kampfgeschwader Boelke Fliegerbluse
A stunning example of a M40 Fliegerbluse belonging to a member of the famous 'Kampfgeschwader 27' , also known as 'Kampfgeschwader Boelcke' , which fought at:
Battle of Poland 1939
Phoney war 1939-1940
Battle of France 1940
Battle of Belgium 1940
Battle of Britain and the Blitz 1941
Eastern Front 1941-1944
Defense of the Reich 1945
The tunic in the rank of 'Unteroffizier' ( Sergeant) has all its original insignia which are originally machine applied, a handsewn Luftwaffe cloth Pilot Observer badge, a ribbon for an EK2 and a Ostfront medal, and also a nice empty loop where an EK1 would fit perfectly.
Buttons are all present and originally sewn, some extra small press buttons have been applied by the originally owner for style and comfort.
The originally sewn 'Geschwader Boelcke' cufftitle can also be spotted on the left sleeve.
Overall a superb tunic, which i'll likely never come across again!
