Franco-Prussian war German infantry tunic+cap. 124th Würtemmberg regiment

In superb condition, a jacket and cap of the 124th Würtemmberg infantry regiment during the Franco-Prussian war.

The jacket retains all its original buttons, has no field repairs and has a beautiful very readable maker stamp, including the 124 R stamp that stands for 124th Regiment.

The cap itself is also in great condition, but the brim was once in its lifetime glued to the cap when it became loose.

The cap is marked with Anton Möhn , Ravensbruck and the soldiers same aswell: Erich Müller, and some more info.

Great rare set that is very uncommon these days.

The uniform set belonged to an Enlisted Men in the 124th Infantrie regiment ( 6th Württemberg 'king Wilhelm 1'. like the WW1 box and cap listed aswell.

This regiment got created in 01-06-1673 during the Franco-Dutch war and saw action for hundreds of years , in some very well known battles ( Napoleonic war, Argonne forest in WW1 ).

The regiment is mostly known for a very famous member, Erwin rommel, Field-Marshal to be joined and fought in this Regiment in WW1.
